Name: Mitigating Export Finance Risk, hosted by the World Trade Center Savannah
Date: June 16, 2020
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
The WTC-KY is proud to partner with our sister center, WTC-Savannah to bring our members and clients this webinar.

The U.S. Department of Commerce emphasizes that 97% of all U.S. exporters are small businesses. It also reports that 96% of the world's customers reside outside the United States.
Many companies continue to boost their profitability by exporting products through international markets. Learn how to develop a plan to help your company navigate international commerce while reducing risk to your bottom line.

When deciding to export, business owners should consider several things including: does exporting align with the company’s growth strategy; do we understand what it takes to export profitably and maybe most importantly: how do I get paid? As with all sales, being paid in full and on time is key to exporting successfully, and like most negotiations between companies, financial transactions are influenced by local customs, cultural norms and common practices.

Webinar will assist in identifying payment methods and safeguards U.S. exports can use to be competive in international markets while reducing risk.
